One of our
favorite places that we have visited in the world is still
Santorini, especially the beautiful, little and picturesque
town of Oia. We stayed in a darling little hotel built right
into the cliffs. When we woke up in the mornings we would
look right out of bed onto the gorgeous, blue bay in front
of the two volcanic islands and the Mediterranean Sea
beyond. The 3 days we stayed there we walked all around Oia
and found the people to be very friendly and easy to talk
to. |

Santorini is
breath taking. From the moment I saw it from the ship, I
could hardly catch my breath. You can't miss the sunset
while you are there and don't forget to ride a donkey! |

After
researching, my brother and I have have found that our last
name derives from the island Santorini. My father was born
in Rocale, Italy and came to the United States in the early
1920's. I would enjoy any information or research you could
share with me on the island and its history by way of email.
Thank you. |

My husband who
was my boyfriend at the time and I traveled to Santorini 3
years ago. He proposed to me in Santorini and we are coming
back next summer to have our marriage blessed by a Catholic
priest. Santorini is the most beautiful place on earth. The
views from the hills are as beautiful as the pictures. The
people are magnificent. The best part of traveling to
Santorini was that you didn't feel as though you were a
tourist, you feel very much like you belong. I have traveled
all over the world and have never seen such beauty.I can't
wait to go back and bring my children. |

Santorini is
an astonishingly beautiful island. The views are gorgeous
but the beaches are not ideal. The beaches have rock instead
of sand and I had to walk around with sandals otherwise the
pebbles hurt my feet. Definitely attend the Indian
restaurant in Kamari. It is the best ever. Motto makes the
trip perfect! And don't forget to see the Sunset in Oia. |
